Angelic Mister is a graduate of Mississippi Valley State University with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Criminal Justice and a minor in Biology, graduating Cum Lade. Mister has graduated from several prominent leadership programs, MS Congressman Bennie Thompson’s Leadership Program and Dr. David Satcher’s Health and Leadership Institute, and Dr. I.V. Hilliard’s School of Ministry. Mister served as a City Council for the City of Leland, MS. Mister is currently a member of the Children’s Defense Fund’s Southern Rural Black Women’s Initiative (SRBWI). The organization helps to fight for the equal rights of women and children. For more than four years, she has worked diligently to support the youth of her community by serving as a board member of Kiwanis and a member of Rotary, Indianola, MS Chapter.
She began her financial coaching career in 2009 while working with South Delta Regional Housing Authority, as Director of Family Self Sufficiency Program. She later became Chair of MCFAC (Mississippi Community Financial Access Coalition) for four years until she resigned to hold the position of Program Director. She has continued her career in financial coaching as a Financial Well-being Coach with Operation Hope, Inc. location at the First Tennessee Bank (Watkins/Frayser) in Memphis, TN.
