HOPE Coalition America Partners with First Tennessee Bank to Provide Financial Recovery Services to Residents Affected by Wildfires in Gatlinburg, Tennessee
ATLANTA – Dec. 5, 2016 – Global financial dignity and economic empowerment nonprofit, Operation HOPE, Inc., announced today that its national emergency preparedness and financial recovery division, HOPE Coalition America, will partner with First Tennessee Bank to support survivors of wildfires in Gatlinburg, Tennessee. The collaboration will provide assistance to individuals in the area where several hundred homes and businesses have been damaged and destroyed.
HOPE Coalition America (HCA) serves as a financial advocate for individuals and small businesses in underserved communities affected by disasters; advising clients and helping them with critical processes, including, mitigating credit issues, obtaining SBA loans, and preventing foreclosure.
“HCA will get in front of this recovery by providing financial counseling for the many small businesses and families affected by this disaster, including information regarding SBA assistance, foreclosure prevention, and renter issues,” said HCA Director Jason Yancey. “We will also coordinate FEMA individual assistance in the event that there is a presidential declaration for the state.”
Starting today, HCA will be on the ground to coordinate efforts with response partners, including, the American Red Cross, National VOAD, community and faith-based groups, and local government agencies, to offer services to individuals and communities hit hardest by the disaster. As part of the collaboration with strategic partner to Operation HOPE, First Tennessee Bank, HCA will assist customers and employees of the bank located in the affected area. Operation HOPE financial wellbeing coaches located in the First Tennessee Bank branch in Knoxville, Tennessee, will help provide additional assistance.
