Operation HOPE Welcomes Dr. Natalia J. Peart to the HOPE Global Board of Directors

ATLANTA – January 22, 2015 – Financial dignity nonprofit Operation HOPE today announced Dr. Natalia J. Peart, PhD, COO & Director of Strategic Initiatives of the DeBruce Foundation to the Operation HOPE Global Board of Directors.  As a board member, Peart will work to find positive ways to impact underserved communities.

In her new role, Dr. Peart moderated a panel from the Main Stage and co-chaired a Working Group Session on The Youth Entrepreneurial Mindset: “Taking Action for Generational Change,” Saturday, January 17 at the 2015 HOPE Global Forum Annual Meeting. Her participation also solidifies the DeBruce Foundation’s commitment to define tools and services that create opportunity in the community.

Last year, the DeBruce Foundation partnered with Operation HOPE in support of the organization’s Founder and Author John Hope Bryant message of empowerment, as outlined in his best-seller, How the Poor Can Save Capitalism.

Dr. Peart was appointed to the Federal Reserve Bank of Kansas City’s Omaha Branch Board of Directors in 2011. She completed her internship at Boston Children's Hospital/Harvard Medical School and practiced as a child and adolescent psychologist at institutions that include the Georgetown University Child Development Center and Johns Hopkins’ Kennedy Krieger Institute (full bio).

The annual forum, hosted at the Omni Hotel in downtown Atlanta, GA January 15 – 17, 2015, gathered civic and financial leaders to outline a vision for the future of the modern global economy. This vision that includes all people as Operation HOPE sees the poor, underserved and teetering middle class as untapped assets for economic growth, entrepreneurship and job creation.
