Compton Mayor Aja Brown Joins the 2015 HOPE Global Forum as Featured Speaker

ATLANTA, GA – November 24, 2014 – The City of Compton California Mayor Aja Brown will participate in the 2015 HOPE Global Forum as a Featured Speaker on the Main Stage in Atlanta, GA, January 15-17, financial dignity nonprofit Operation HOPE announced today.  Mayor Brown joins a select group of talented world leaders to strategize a new vision for empowering underserved communities.

The annual forum, hosted by the leader in economic empowerment Operation HOPE, will take place at the Omni Hotel in downtown Atlanta, Georgia. It will bring together Heads of State, C-suite executives, civic and financial leaders to outline a vision for the future of the modern global economy. This vision that includes all people as HOPE sees the poor, underserved and teetering middle class as untapped assets for economic growth, entrepreneurship and job creation.

A dedicated professional for with over 10 years of experience, Mayor Brown has dedicated her career to initiating change in disadvantaged communities. She is a strategic visionary focused on progress and has built a legacy of developing and implementing public policies to facilitate guided growth and protect community assets.

Throughout her career, she has fought for transparency, collaboration and community involvement. She has developed community empowerment boards, business-to-business collaborative, and employment development programs.
