Operation HOPE Receives $100,000 Contribution from Toyota Motor Company

Partnership will continue to sponsor HOPE publications and inspirational Silver Rights Series

Los Angeles, CA – May 18, 2011— Operation HOPE, Inc. (HOPE) received a $100,000 commitment Toyota Motor Company in support of their Silver Rights Movement to empower and educate underserved communities in financial literacy. The financial donation will help fund the nonprofit’s messaging through video production and printed publications.

“We are extremely grateful to have long-standing partners such as Toyota committed to helping us give all communities an understanding of how to manage and maintain their personal finances,” said HOPE President Bill Walbrecher. “Their support allows us to reach out to those families in need of our services.”

Since 2000, Toyota Motor Sales has sponsored the production and printing of HOPE pamphlets, been a Signature Sponsor of HOPE's newsletter “Empowering Communities” and supported the printing of Operation HOPE Founder, Chairman and CEO John Hope Bryant’s Silver Rights Series. Toyota has also been a partner with HOPE’s youth financial literacy program Banking on Our Future.

"Toyota believes in supporting all the communities where we do business,” said Michael Rouse, vice president, philanthropy and community affairs. Thanks to our partnership with Operation HOPE, we are able to help underserved communities understand the importance of financial literacy.”
