Young Global Leader and Operation HOPE Founder John Hope Bryant Will Join World Economic Forum Chairman Klaus Schwab at Carnegie Hall

Event to highlight the power of the arts

New York – February 18, 2010 – John Hope Bryant a World Economic Forum Young Global Leader and the Chairman, Founder and CEO of the community empowerment nonprofit Operation HOPE (HOPE) will join World Economic Forum Chairman Klaus Schwab, Founder of El Sistema Jose Antonio Abreu and Clive Gillinson, the Executive and Artistic Director of Carnegie Hall in New York for a gathering that celebrates the transformational power of the arts in society.

This event, presented by the World Economic Forum and hosted by the Weill Music Institute at Carnegie Hall strives to promote the role of arts and arts education for youth. Musicians from the Manhattan School of Music, the Youth Orchestra of the Americas and Venezuela’s El Sistema will delight audiences with a program that includes music composed by Bach, Waxman and Ravel.

The Weill Music Institute at Carnegie Hall has established and administered broad-reaching music educational programs and operates from their motto “Music for Everyone.” They play an integral role in Carnegie Hall's commitment to making great music accessible to as many people as possible through creative musical interaction and inspiring lifelong learning.
