ATLANTA – October 22, 2013 – Financial dignity leader Operation HOPE announced today that HSBC Bank will join the HOPE Global Financial Dignity Summit (Summit) as a Gold Sponsor in Atlanta on November 13 – 14, 2013. This level of support will provide HSBC with the opportunity to play a role in the developing solutions for better banking practices and services.
“We are pleased to have them onboard for the HOPE Global Financial Dignity Summit,” said John Hope Bryant Operation HOPE founder, chairman and chief executive officer. “HSBC Bank has distinguished itself over the years in the communities which Operation HOPE serves by being an early supporter of innovative wealth-building programs tailored to promote stake-holder communities. We believe the summit also serves as a celebration of the financial community, and those like HSBC, who understand the importance of sharing ideas and trends in order to better serve their communities.”
For two days, leading entrepreneurs and internationally recognized thought leaders will join in solution-driven discussions around global issues such as: banking the unbanked, mobile finance, the entrepreneurship paradigm, homeownership, the cost of disaster preparedness and recovery, philanthropy, sustainable finance and job creation in emerging markets, among others.
In addition to Summit support, HSBC supports several of HOPE’s financial literacy initiatives, including the award-winning youth financial program, Banking on Our Future, and the HOPE Financial Dignity Center adult programs such as home ownership. Additionally, several HSBC team members sit on HOPE Boards, as well, providing leadership and guidance to HOPE’s national and regional boards.
In partnership with the City of Atlanta, the two-day event, themed Global Economic Recovery: How the Poor Can Help Save Capitalism is expected to draw more than 1,000 attendees from nearly 50 countries worldwide.
