Equifax Senior Executive Trey Loughran Joins Operation HOPE Southeastern Board
ATLANTA – September 12, 2013 – Operation HOPE announced today the addition of Joseph M. "Trey" Loughran, President, Equifax Personal Information Solutions, to the Southeastern Board of Directors. Loughran will also serve on the HOPE Inside National Advisory Board, a committee devoted to empowering the financial advancement of adults in underserved communities.

As HOPE’s newest Silver Rights Ambassador, Loughran will help further the organization’s goal to provide individuals and communities with better access to credit and financial education. As a member of the southeastern board, Loughran will make recommendations on national policy and help generate the support of elected officials, school administrations and grassroots organizations.
Loughran is responsible for the consumer business of Equifax that provides credit monitoring, identity management and debt reduction solutions to individuals across the U.S. and Canada. Promoted to this position in December 2009, Loughran previously led the company's corporate development efforts, including leading global mergers and acquisitions and the company’s business expansion in new international markets including Russia and India.
Loughran joined Equifax after working with BellSouth Corp., where he held a number of leadership positions, including Managing Director of the company's Corporate Strategy and Planning department. During his five-year tenure at BellSouth, he also served as Executive Director of Marketing in BellSouth's Interconnection Services unit.
Prior to joining BellSouth, he helped launch Global Food Exchange, an Internet-based software company. He held the positions of Chief Financial Officer and head of Corporate Development. He also served nearly four years as a consultant with McKinsey & Company. Previous to McKinsey, he served as an attorney with King& Spalding in Atlanta and as an investment banking analyst with Lazard Frères & Co. in New York.
Loughran holds a bachelor's degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where he was a Morehead Scholar, and a law degree from Harvard University where he graduated magna cum laude.
Loughran’s two-year board appointment is effective immediately. As a member of HOPE’s Southeastern Board, he will join some of the nation’s most powerful executives, decision-makers, bankers and economists in providing insight and guidance to the organization’s Silver Rights Movement to empowerment the underserved.
