Stephanie Couser, Senior Vice President and Director of CRA and Community Affairs, joined Mutual of Omaha Bank in May 2013 to lead the Bank’s CRA efforts. She has developed, implemented and maintained a comprehensive CRA program for the Bank. Mrs. Couser’s current role includes, but not limited to, offering specialized experience in project coordination and community development activities to ensure compliance with the Community Reinvestment Act (CRA) throughout 10 states. Additionally, she works with management and line of business units to define business needs and establish goals/objectives as related to CRA, Home Mortgage Disclosure Act (HMDA) and Fair Lending. She has established strong local and national community relationships and developed public and private partnerships to ensure the bank meets the needs of the community. She has developed programs and activities to address needs such as affordable housing, foreclosure prevention and mitigation, economic development, neighborhood stabilization/revitalization, financial education and asset building.
Mrs. Couser has over twenty five years of experience in community, real estate, economic development and an extensive background and proven success in strategic planning, project development, implementation, staff training and management. She is also an accomplished Community Development and Mortgage professional with a proven track record in multi-cultural production. She has extensive knowledge of affordable mortgage products, policies and underwriting requirements. She possesses strong interpersonal skills to effectively influence and develop business relationships, resulting in market share growth. She has worked collaboratively with multiple levels of the organization to drive business results through increased productivity, process improvement, appropriate deployment, management and is successful in the recruitment and retention of top performing sales professionals.

She currently serves as Chair of the Board of Trustees for the Dallas Urban League of North Texas, is a board member of: DFW International Community Alliances, North Texas Housing Coalition, North Texas National Association of Hispanic Real Estate Professionals (Marketing Chair 2011 and Special Events Chair 2013, 2014) and also serves on the Advisory Board of the Asian Real Estate Association of America (AREAA) Dallas Chapter. Previously, she served on the boards of the Dallas Black Chamber of Commerce, Southern Dallas Development Corporation, Center for Housing Resources, AREAA Professional Development/Educational Chair, AREAA Policy Board, Dallas Arboretum African American Advisory Committee, and Jeffries Street Learning Center.
