Tamara (Tami) Door is the President & CEO of the Downtown Denver Partnership, a membership organization that creatively plans and manages Downtown Denver so that it remains vibrant and economically healthy. The Partnership dedicates its efforts to development, retail, public policy, transportation and housing initiatives. The Partnership currently has over 600 member businesses.
In addition, her organization produces popular community events that bring more than one million people Downtown each year, including A Taste of Colorado, the 9News Parade of Lights, and New Year’s Eve Fireworks Downtown. The Partnership led an 18-month process to create a twenty-year vision for Downtown, the Downtown Area Plan. It was formally adopted by City Council in July of 2007 and is now in its implementation phase. Door serves as co-chairman of the 2027 Committee which is responsible for driving implementation of the Plan.
Door is a member of the Young President’s Organization and the Colorado Women’s Forum. Door, her husband Rick and sons Hayden and Parker live in Park Hill and enjoy skiing and water skiing in their spare time.
