Gregory S. Peterson is SVP, California State President, and Regional Commercial Real Estate (CRE) Manager for Mutual of Omaha Bank. He joined Mutual of Omaha Bank in 2009, which began operations in 2007 as a wholly owned subsidiary of the iconic Mutual of Omaha Insurance Company. Today, the banking franchise has more than $7 billion in assets and operates a network of locations in 10 states. Mr. Peterson manages the California banking operations and his team of CRE Lenders and support staff in California, Arizona, Nevada, and the Midwestern states.
Mr. Peterson is a seasoned professional with more than 25 years of experience in various senior and executive positions, both in the banking field as well as for major CRE operating companies. After receiving his BS in Business Administration and Finance from California State University at Northridge, Mr. Peterson ultimately became SVP and Director of Special Assets and Commercial REO Divisions for Home Savings of America. In that capacity, he directed the sale of more than $750 million of commercial real estate properties and managed a staff of more than fifty employees in offices located in Los Angeles, New York and Northern California.
Mr. Peterson then held the position of SVP, Acquisitions Director for BH Properties, Vintage Capital Group, and the Trammell Crow Company, where he led a team of professionals who strategically procured more than $500 million of valuable and advantageous commercial real estate properties located throughout the United States.
Mr. Peterson lives in the Santa Clarita Valley with his wife of 25 years, Patricia, and their two daughters, Ashley and Brittney.
