Eli Marks provides executive leadership to Wells Fargo’s entire credit services for the retail bank in SoutheastCommunity Banking – Georgia, Alabama, Tennessee, Mississippi and South Carolina.

Reporting to the lead regional president for Southeast Community Banking, Marks leads the region’s efforts to acquire new, high quality, and profitable consumer and small business credit volume and to manage the region's existing consumer credit portfolio. This includes all elements of credit prospecting, fulfillment and servicing within the region.

He partners with the three regional presidents within the region to set loan strategies and with the community bank presidents reporting to them on retail credit and small business sales initiatives and ongoing performance of the consumer credit portfolio. Marks monitors competitors’ activities and coordinates with the pricing team. His team of retail credit sales consultants across the geography are responsible for sales coaching with personal bankers relating to retail and small business loans for the region.

Previous positions held at the company include: Wachovia At Work client acquisition director. Prior to that role, he was thedirector for Georgia small business. Marks also has experience as a retail banking manager and leader throughout the state of Florida.

Eli Marks has a bachelor’s degree in English with Business emphasis from Florida State University in 1991

Eli also provides leadership and fundraising for the American Cancer Society’s Relay For Life and the Multiple Sclerosis Society’s Bike 150 events throughout the Southeast.

He has provided nine years of leadership support to the United Way, served on regional finance committee, led 2007 campaign for Atlanta’s retail small business segment Crimes Stoppers Palm Beach (1994-2007) served in several executive roles Goodwill – Served on foundation board with primary function of working with other financial institutions’ participation campaigns.

Marks is married and the father of three.
