Britain Westbrook

HOPE New Orleans Board Member: May 2014 - December 2016

Born and raised in New Orleans, Britain Westbrook is a graduate of Edna Karr Magnet High School.  Britain received a Bachelors of Science in Aviation Management from Louisiana Tech University and is currently pursuing a Master’s in Business Administration from the University of New Orleans. She is proud member of Alpha Eto Rho Aviation Fraternity. 

To assist with the Gulf Coast recovery effort, Britain worked as a Business Service Representative for the Louisiana Workforce Commission where she worked to promote small business development, policy change and contracting opportunities following Hurricane Katrina. Britain is former Executive Director of the

LA Oystermen Association and has advocated for contracting opportunities for minority fishermen. Currently she works as a NGO consultant concerned with creating sustainable workforce development strategies, coastal restoration advocacy and mitigation initiatives and community based projects in the Gulf Coast.
