David recently retired from Bank of America, after 33 years, the last 6 as Senior Vice President. He began his BofA career as a teller in Fullerton, CA, while earning his BA from Cal State Fullerton in Finance, and attending courses at Pacific Christian College, (now Hope International University). He has held positions in Banking Center Management, Business Banking, Wealth Management, Mortgage Sales and most recently, as the SVP/California Relationship Manager for Enterprise Customer Care Resolution.
David was born into a family of politics, with his father Gordon serving in the State Legislature from the mid-1940s to early 1950s, and then as Los Angeles City Councilman through 1963. His uncle, Kenneth Hahn, served one term as Los Angeles City Councilman and then 40 years as Los Angeles County Supervisor for the 2nd district. His cousin James served as City Controller and City Attorney during the 1980s and 1990s and one term as Mayor of Los Angeles from 2001-2004. His cousin Janice, formerly a Los Angeles City Councilwoman, and US Congresswoman for California’s 44th District, is now LA County Supervisor for the 4th District.
Personally, David lives with Cathy, his wife of 34 years, in Moreno Valley, CA. Cathy is an elementary school teacher with the Moreno Valley Unified School District. They have three grown children: Lauren, Gregory and Elizabeth. All University graduates, with two Masters degrees among them. The Hahn’s attend worship services at Discovery Christian Church of Moreno Valley, where David serves as a Elder and Cathy serves as a Sunday School Teacher.
In addition to serving as a Board Member of the Operation Hope Southwestern Region, David currently serves on the board of the United Way Inland Valleys. He has been board chair for the Inland Empire Arthritis Foundation, board member with the Greater Riverside Chamber of Commerce government relations, the Housing Opportunities Collaborative boards for Orange County, Inland Empire and Central Valleys, the Riverside County YMCA and Pacific Christian College President’s Forum.. He is also a recent graduate of the Inland Empire Economic Partnership's Regional Leadership Academy.
Although officially retiring from Bank of America in 2017, he is actively pursuing further career opportunities.
