Vernon V. Aguirre is the California Region Executive for Popular Community Bank. He is responsible for the management and financial performance of 20 branches and all lines of business, including retail banking and commercial banking within the banks’ footprint in Los Angeles and Orange County.
He has 25 years of experience in sales management and business lending, including SBA and state guaranty programs.
Mr. Aguirre is active in his community. He is on the Southwest Regional Board of Directors of Operation Hope. He is a Board member of Light the Night Orange County/Inland Empire, and on the Board of the University of Southern California Latino Alumni Association.
He previously served on the American Red Cross Southern California Blood Services Board, American Cancer Society Board and the American Diabetes Association Board.
He has been honored for his community service by the Boy Scouts of America with the “Siempre Juntos” Community Award, the Mexican American Foundation with the Caballero de Distinction Award and the California Mexican American Hispanic Chamber Eagle Award for community service. He is an active 20 year member of Rotary International.
Mr. Aguirre is a native of Sonora, Mexico and a graduate of the University of Arizona.
