Christy Young is a partner in the Financial Services & Products Group, focusing her practice on issues and transactions related to electronic payment systems and products, including credit and debit cards, stored value/prepaid card products and health benefit cards, as well as securities transactions, reporting and corporate governance. She assists financial institutions and other business entities with various transactions and regulatory issues, including the issuance of debt and equity securities, as well as mergers and acquisitions.

She received her J.D., magna cum laude, from the University of Tennessee College of Law in 2002, where she was managing editor of Transactions: The Tennessee Journal of Business Law. She received her B.A., with honors, from Michigan State University. After her initial career as an elementary school teacher, Ms. Young worked more than 14 years at Ace Cash Express, Inc. As ACE’s Vice President of Operations Support, Ms. Young was responsible for multiple operations support functions for more than 500 stores in multiple states including compliance with the Bank Secrecy Act. She was a key player in establishing relationships with companies interested in ACE’s bill payment processing, which included demonstrating ACE’s methodologies, negotiating contracts and ultimately supervising the reconciliation of payments and transfers.

Ms. Young is a member of the American Bar Association's Business Law Section, the State Bar of Georgia and the Atlanta Bar Association.
