Mary Kathryn (MK) Sagaria is the Program Manager for Operation HOPE’s Banking On Our Future Program for the Denver market. In this role Ms. Sagaria is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the youth financial literacy program. She trains and coordinates volunteer teachers, facilitates contractual agreements between HOPE and the Denver Public Schools, and manages partnerships with community based organizations and municipal departments. MK has been working within the non-profit sector for the last five years; most recently within the affordable housing sector at Mercy Housing Colorado. In this capacity she managed out-of-school time programs for school-aged youth at multiple housing sites in the Denver metro area. Her prior role was with Colorado I Have A Dream Foundation working with low income and underserved students within the Denver Public Schools. MK earned her Bachelors degree at Smith College in Anthropology and African Studies. As a Fulbright Student Scholar in Finland, she went on to earn her Masters degree in International Development at the University of Helsinki, with a focus on immigrants, asylees, and refugees.
