Kwanza Hall has spent his life working for the citizens of Atlanta. An Atlanta native, Kwanza attended college at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology before returning home to the people and neighborhoods he loves.
After being elected to the Atlanta School Board in 2002, Kwanza Hall set to work to close the achievement gap in Atlanta Public Schools. He immediately made an impact, casting decisive votes that ushered in an era of reform governance. Subsequent school reforms have produced significant gains in achievement. APS student performance on statewide tests is increasing dramatically.
Kwanza lives in the Martin Luther King Historic District with his wife Natalie and their two sons.
