India Alston is a marketing and brand management professional, serving as US Census Account Director for Carol H. Williams Advertising (CHWA), the largest independently owned African-American Advertising Agency in the US; and Founder& CEO of Beam Global Strategies, LLC (BGS). In both roles, India has worked with emerging to global brands across industries, leading go-to-market strategies, digital creative direction, brand identity and client relationship management. Current accounts include the US Census Bureau (CHWA), The National Congress of Black Women, The Chamique Holdsclaw Foundation, Tritente Global Energy Group, and Jomex Pharmaceuticals. While living in Amman, Jordan, India previously served as Director of Marketing for New Arab Media, a digital media company producing social impact mobile games and digital comic books aimed at promoting positive Middle Eastern Stories. Moreover, with a passion for merging entertainment and technology for social impact, India is developing a mobile application, Rezuu, which will bridge the gap for access to information and opportunities for marginalized communities seeking upward mobility. She received her B.A. In African and African American Studies from Stanford University and is currently pursuing her MFA in Advertising at the Academy of Art University. Her hobbies include reading, cooking, swimming, basketball, video games and mentoring inner city youth.
