Karen Armstrong is Senior Vice President for Communications and Political Action at the New York Bankers Association (NYBA). NYBA is a banking trade association representing community, regional, and money center banks and thrifts operating in New York State. Prior to joining NYBA in 1998, Karen was Deputy Chief of Staff to the Treasurer of the State of Connecticut. Karen earned her B.A. in American Studies from Mount Holyoke College in South Hadley, Massachusetts. Karen serves on the Northeast Regional Board of Operation HOPE. She is also a member of the Public Relations Society of America and the Junior League of Greenwich. She resides in Old Greenwich, Connecticut with her husband, Clyde.
