Timothy H. Wennes is West Coast President of MUFG Union Bank, N.A. He manages four of the company’s major business lines and represents the bank with customers, civic and community leaders on the West Coast and government officials nationally. Mr. Wennes began his banking career in 1989 and joined Union Bank in 2008. He was named Vice Chairman in 2010, and assumed the role of West Coast President in July 2014.

Mr. Wennes has oversight for Commercial Banking, which provides financial services, products and solutions to corporate clients; Real Estate Industries, which delivers financial solutions to professional real estate developers and investors; Wealth Markets, which delivers wealth planning, trust & estate services, brokerage, investment management, and private wealth management solutions to high net worth individual and institutional clients; and Consumer Banking, with retail branches, private banking offices and residential mortgage lending capabilities in California, Oregon and Washington.

Mr. Wennes also oversees Corporate Social Responsibility for the Americas, which encompasses the MUFG Union Bank Foundation, Community Outreach, Environmental Stewardship, Community Reinvestment Act (CRA) Strategy & Operations, and Supplier Diversity. Additionally, he has responsibility for the bank’s Enterprise Marketing activities.

Mr. Wennes is a graduate of the University of Southern California, where he received a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration. He also holds an MBA degree in International Business from California State University Fullerton. Mr. Wennes serves on the Corporate Advisory Board for the USC Marshall School of Business; the Global Board of Operation HOPE; is a National Trustee for Boys & Girls Clubs of America in the Pacific Region; and is past Chair of the Consumer Bankers Association.
