Laurel Hord Hill

Laurel Hill is a Senior Vice President in the Government & Institutional Banking Group at Wachovia Bank. She is responsible for providing customized financial solutions to local governments, higher education institutions and non-profit organizations in the metro Atlanta area.
Mrs. Hill has more than 24 years of banking experience, including 21 years at Wachovia. Prior to joining the Government & Institutional Banking Group in 2005, she spent eighteen years in a variety of leadership positions within Treasury Services, including sales management and strategic development focused on several corporate industry segments. She has been a speaker at regional and national treasury management and accounting conferences. In addition, she has served as a faculty member of the UNC Treasury Management Series at the Kenan-Flagler Business School at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and the University of California at Berkeley Treasury Management Program.
She served on the Board of Trustees of Ebenezer Baptist Church for over ten years and had a number of assignments as Trustee, including membership on the Finance Committee. In this capacity, she played an instrumental role in securing the initial financing for Ebenezer’s new sanctuary. Currently, she is serving on the Finance Committee of the Board of Directors of the Girl Scout Council of Northwest Georgia, Inc.
Mrs. Hill received her Bachelor’s degree in economics, summa cum laude, from Spelman College, where she remains an active alumna. She also holds the designation of Certified Treasury Professional (CTP).
She is married to the Rev. Dr. Toussaint K. Hill, Jr., Pastor of the historic West Hunter Street Baptist Church in southwest Atlanta. In Toussaint K.Hill, III and Thaddaeus K. Hill, they find endless joy, pride and hope for the future.
