D. Scott Dalton

D. Scott Dalton manages Chubb’s regional branch office in Atlanta, Georgia. He began his career in 1979 as a Property & Marine underwriter in the Cincinnati branch. Over the next 12 years, Scott held a variety of underwriting management positions in the Indianapolis, Pittsburgh and Northern Zone offices in both the Property & Marine and Energy practices. In 1991, he moved to Louisville, Kentucky to establish a new underwriting branch for Chubb as a branch manager. After profitably doubling the size of that office in 5 years, Scott was asked to lead the Atlanta regional office in 1996 and continues in that role today.
Scott received his B.S. degree in Business Administration with a concentration in finance from Miami University Oxford, Ohio in May of 1979. He has served on the board of Volunteers of America, the Kentucky Assigned Risk Plan, and is currently a member of the Board of Advisors at the Metro Atlanta Chamber of Commerce. Scott has been an active member of Sandy Springs Christian Church for many years, currently serving as an elder and treasurer. He was President of the Board in 2002, is past chairman of the annual stewardship campaign, and has served on the visioning team and the search committee for a new senior pastor in 2003. Scott is married to his wife of 23 years Chris Dalton and together they have two children, Stuart (18) currently a freshman at Auburn University, and Caroline (16) currently at junior at The Walker School.
