"When John Hope Bryant talks about how to expand the middle class, I listen.”
— Former U.S. President Bill Clinton
HOPE Government Relations and Public Policy (GRPP) is a division of Operation HOPE that focuses on realizing the HOPE Global mission through collaboration with international, federal, state, and local government partners. HOPE GRPP participates in policy forums around financial literacy and supports the Office of the Chairman in promoting legislation to ensure that Silver Rights becomes a Civil Right.
In 2008, our founder John Bryant was instrumental in the creation of the President’s Advisory Council on Financial Literacy. This bipartisan council has advised two presidents, both President Barack Obama and George W. Bush.
Additionally, John Bryant has served on the Commission on Retirement Security and Personal Savings at the Bipartisan Policy Center as well as a Commission at the Convergence Policy Center.
HOPE GRPP currently has partnership with thirteen federal agencies including the Department of the Treasury and Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, and collaborates with think tanks and mission driven nonprofits to help advocate for the creation of policy around financial empowerment.
